fellows,

According to one sample, the injury rate for tai chi is around14%.
the abstract is interesting. My thought is that is this the 14% who finally remain, or those who drop out at the beginning

I, too, thank you for your link. It brings to mind a number of questions about sampling methods. Would Tai Chi practitioners in Manitoba practice the same Tai Chi as in the Chen family village? Do they have a particularly rough local culture of Tae Kwan Do there? However, these sorts of results are in line with what I might have expected. Bill

There were 14 TCC people in the sample, so a 14% injury rate means one of them had an injury. I think the injury rates for the martial arts with bigger sample sizes may be reliable, but an N = 14 is hard to draw any conclusion from.
