INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOP
June 11 - June 12, 2011.
Terre Haute, IN, United States.
Tai Chi for Fall Prevention & Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis

What Is Tai Chi for Fall Prevention
Tai Chi for Fall Prevention is based on the Tai Chi for Arthritis program. This workshop will
focus on aspects of using tai chi to prevent the elderly from falling.

At the completion of the workshop you will learn how to do the tai chi set competently, learn the
necessary skills to teach tai chi to help elderly people improve their balance and health, and
reduce their risk of falling. You will learn what causes falls and how tai chi can be more
effectively applied to further reduce the risk of falling.
What is Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis?
This modified seated version of Tai Chi for Arthritis can be enjoyed by anyone wishing to
practice Tai Chi sitting down. People with almost any chronic condition can learn to
improve their health and mobility. This safe easy-to-learn program relieves pain and
improves health and quality of life.

Health Professionals and carers using this program with people with disabilities can share
quality time with them while improving their own health.
The certification in Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis will open doors to teach in assisted living
facilities and nursing homes, helping those residences to enjoy a better quality of life.
